    Tanzanian Single Origin Roasted Beans

Posted by RossD on 15th Aug 2024

As usual I can't describe this coffee in connooisseur terms. I'm just a home coffee consumer using an old Breville Duo-Temp Pro and never did get the 'notes of' thing sorted. I have been doing a little 'Trip Around the World' though, since I discovered that Soprano do Single Origin coffees because I drink coffee for the 'taste' rather than the caffeine 'hit'. So far I have had only one 'Origin' coffee that I was not impressed with, but that was not the coffee's fault. This Tanzanian Coffee though was right back on track. Doing a 20g grind for 38g out was close to perfect for my taste. A little more, say 40g or 42g would probably suit a serious coffee drinker, or someone making a Milk drink like a Flat White or a Cappuccino. For my espresso, I like it extracted just a little less. There was something 'nicely different' about these Tanzanian beans. I've had fruitier coffees as well as other more earthy from Soprano, but this was an interesting coffee and comes out nicely as Espresso, but has a silky crema that a Latte Artist would probably have a fun with. Overall, if you have a home machine, it is a coffee flavour that would go well with just about any situation or time of day . .
